According to sources, actor Sami Khan has been signed on to star in Wrong Number 2.
The film wrong number 2 will be Yasir Nawaz’s sequel for the 2015 comedy. Neelum Muneer will play the female lead this time, while Javed Sheikh, Danish Nawaz and Nayyar Ejaz will also return to feature in the new film.
Speaking to a private media channel, Sami revealed that “it’s a romantic comedy like the original Wrong Number.”
The prequel followed the story of Danish Taimoor’s character where he successfully connives in swapping lives with his lookalike millionaire as he struggles to escape his father’s ultimatum of getting a job and settling down with the neighbour’s daughter (played by Sohai Ali Abro).
While the plot of the sequel is being kept under wraps, Khan feels the film’s entertainment value will be like the original film’s. “I can’t tell much about my character but we will try our best to entertain our audiences in the best way possible. I have high expectations from the team. I’m working with them since director Yasir Nawaz and producer Hassan Zia’s already have two big hits under their belt.”
Sami further hinted that Yasir Nawaz might appear in the film.
He added, “The plot for Wrong Number 2 is written by Danish and Yasir Nawaz while the dialogues are being worked on by actor Ahmed Hassan.”
The film does not have a release date yet, however, according to Sami Khan the film will be out for public viewing in 2019.
