Pakistani-American Actor Faran Tahir to Play President Rashad in ‘Scandal’


One of the most popular American TV series Scandal has a new addition to its star cast, and that is the Pakistani-American Hollywood actor Faran Tahir.

Scandal will air its seventh season soon, which will also be its final one. The latest episode of ABC Network’s Scandal will air from 5th October 2017.

For those of you who don’t know, the renowned Shonda Rhimes of Grey’s Anatomy has produced the popular series, which stars Kerry Washington, Guillermo Diaz, Darby Stanchfield, Katie Lowes, Tony Goldwyn, Jeff Perry, Bellamy Young, Joshua Malina, Scott Foley, George Newbern and Cornelius Smith Jr.

While, Faran, who is 53 years old, has been part of Hollywood for over 25 years. He has also guest starred in many TV series and films, with his debut appearance in Disney’s live-action film The Jungle Book in 1994 as Mowgli’s father.

Faran Tahir will be playing President Rashad and appearing in episodes 7.2, 7.4 and 7.5.

Other details about Faran’s role are currently being kept strictly confidential, like all other information related to the season.

Apart from the above mentioned project that he is currently working on, the international artist will also be reprising his role as Mallick on American TV show, 12 Monkeys (Season 4) in 2018.
