Singer – composer Adnan Sami is set to make his acting debut in the world of Bollywood with Afghan-In Search Of A Home, a film which is directed by Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru.
Adnan Sami, who is now 43, will play the role of a musician in the film. The makers of the film have released the first look of his character in which Adnan can be seen wearing a yellow turban teamed up with an intense look.

Afghan- In Search Of A Home is the story of a musician refugee from Afghanistan who flees his country of birth under extenuating circumstances, in search of identity and a home.
Adnan said “the movie is very close” to his heart as it is his first movie as an actor.
Although Adnan Sami has already made a debut on big screen in Syed Noor’s musical alongside his ex-wife Zeba Bakhtiar and then in Bajrangi Bhaijaan as a qawwal in a dargah singing, Bhar do jholi meri, he will now mark his full-fledged acting debut with this romantic musical adventure.
Additionally, when Sami was asked whether his music career will take a backseat after making his way into Bollywood Sami replied,
“No, it won’t, because it’s second nature to me. While I admire jugglers, I can’t multitask. Right now my focus is Afghan; I’m not just acting in it, I also have to compose seven songs for it.”
Adnan Sami is known for songs such as Tera Chehra, Bheegi Bheegi Raaton Mein and Kabhi To Nazar Milao. Sami has also provided vocals for various songs from Hindi films, including, Ishq Hota Nahin from Joggers’ Park; Sun Zara from Lucky: No Time for Love and many more songs!
